RIBA East Spirit of Ingenuity Education and Healthcare Award 2011
Challney High School for Girls is one of Luton’s Building Schools for the Future sample schools and is the first to be completed in Luton under the programme. The award aims to recognise and celebrate the design skills and creativity of practising architects across the East of England and the contribution that they and their clients make in shaping the built environment. The school’s building was judged by a panel who examined it against a set criteria including the budget, size, complexity of brief, originality, contract type, client satisfaction and sustainability. more
London District Surveyor’s Association Building Excellence Awards, May 2011/span> Trinity Church of England Secondary School is the third school in Lewisham’s BSF to be designed by ACP and was awarded Best Education Project at the London District Surveyor’s Association Building Excellence Awards. more
HAA Awards 2009 Parmiters School, Drama Studio, Garston Watford - ACP were awarded the 2009 HAA Award for the design of the new Drama Centre at Parmiters School. The new centre is sited on land previously occupied by temporary classrooms and completes the fourth side of the quadrangle formed by the pavillion, the sports hall and the new classroom block.
4PS Public Private Finance Awards 2009:
Best Designed Project Oldham Secondary Schools PFI Project was a joint winner for the award. The £54 million project demonstrates that affordability, innovation and design are not mutually exclusive and can be delivered successfully through PFI.
LABC Award 2009:
Best Educational BuildingThe Radclyffe Secondary School, Oldham - "Delivered on time and within budget this project was one of two new secondary schools providing first class, modern and sustainable facilities and showing just what can be achieved through the Building Schools for the Future programme. ACP designed the schools; each featuring large multi functional open-air covered atria branching off which are faculty wings, which create an open and modern feel." more
London Borough of Enfield Design Award:
Community CategoryLea Valley High School, Enfield - This school was part of the £55 million project that was the first cross-borough PFI in the UK involving three schools in Enfield and one in Newham.
Significant issues were overcome to maintain the rapid project programme including glass contamination of the Lea Valley playing fields. more

"Excellence in Design" AwardClacton PFI Schools - ACP were delighted to have been given the "Excellence in Design" Award by 4PS for our Grouped Schools project in Clacton, Essex. ACP, in partnership with Essex County Council and QED Educational Environments, created the all new Bishops Park College; the first purpose designed 'School within a School' secondary school in the UK and carried out significant expansions and improvements to two other secondary schools; Clacton County High School and Colbayns Secondary School.

Trust 2003 and Ealing Civic Trust Award 2003Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Southall - Our design for the largest Sikh Temple outside India was given the Ealing Civic Trust in 2003 and a mention in the 2003 national Civic Trust Awards. The temple had taken three years to build and cost £16 million, raised by the local community. East "Spirit of Ingenuity" Award 2002 and SCONUL Award 2003 Learning Resources Centre, University of Hertfordshire - We achieved the award by working closely with the clients to realise joint visions in a practical manner. The assessors for the award described the Learning Resources Centre as:
"A building of ‘civic’ quality and dignified presence, but which also has qualities of user friendliness. Its structure is clear and economic but also elegant. The integration of services and structure is very well handled. The central top lit space is an atrium which opens up and integrates the space giving the building clarity and making it easy to understand and use. A well designed, simple and effective building".
The library design award is made by SCONUL for New Libraries and Learning Centres that demonstrate excellence in terms of functional design both for users and library staff. We believe it to be the only such award in the UK and Ireland to be judged by professional librarians on the basis of functional design of libraries rather than purely architectural merit. more
